 The bag is knitted from the bottom up with double stocking stitch at the bottom. Then, pick up stitches around the bottom of the bag and knit in double moss stitch in the round. When the desired length of the bag is reached, bind off the stitches at the front, put the stitches on each side on hold, while the “lid” of the bag is knitted in double stocking stitch. Finally, pick up the stitches that are “waiting” on one side and knit a long cord, i.e. round and round in double moss stitch.
